Concrete Flow’s work starts with the design phase; the ‘skateability’ of the conceived project is paramount. Most of the design work is now performed on CAD tools. From time to time, scale models are built in wood and / or plasticine

On site earthwork is carried out using excavators; the shaping starts at this stage. Once the basic shape has been dug into the ground, we place wooden guides to start with the rebar work as well as the placement of coping. Concrete is then ‘shot’ on to the sides and shaped and smoothed at the same time.

The finishing is all done by hand. Once finished and dry, the skatepark is ‘roadtested’ by the team.

Before the formation of Concrete Flow, MIKE worked on certain interesting projects. These projects gave a firm base for Mike to determine if the activity of skatepark construction was feasible and helped him realize that this would be the ‘line of business’ he would commit to.
